Last week, members of the Anyscor team — Colin, Mark, and Alya — travelled to Lisbon for Web Summit 2025, where Anyscor was proudly selected as one of just 25 companies invited by Enterprise Ireland to exhibit on the global stage.
The team arrived in Lisbon on Monday evening, just in time for the opening ceremony, which set the tone for an exciting and energetic week ahead. One of the standout speakers was Maria Sharapova, who spoke about the rise of sports technology and how digital innovation is making sport more personal, precise, and powerful than ever before. Hearing her discuss themes that align so closely with Anyscor’s mission felt both timely and inspiring — a reminder that the transformation happening at the elite level is equally possible in grassroots sport.
Throughout the following days, the team immersed themselves in everything Web Summit had to offer. From talks across multiple stages to deep-dive sessions on AI, fan engagement, entrepreneurship, and global scaling, every day brought fresh insights and new ideas. They also spent time demonstrating the Anyscor platform, connecting with founders, sports tech pioneers, and investors who share a passion for modernising community sport.
On Thursday, Anyscor had the opportunity to exhibit at the Enterprise Ireland stand, giving the team a dedicated space to showcase the platform, spark conversations, and dive deeper into what makes Anyscor unique. The booth drew interest from a wide range of people — from international founders and investors to sports organisations, tech enthusiasts, and industry leaders. The team had countless insightful conversations, each highlighting the global appetite for innovation in grassroots sport and the growing recognition of Anyscor’s potential.
Networking played a huge part in the week. The team met incredible people from across the world — innovators building the future of sport, technology experts pushing boundaries, and investors eager to explore what’s next for fan engagement and data in amateur sport.
The week was energising, inspiring, and full of opportunity. It was a chance not just to showcase what Anyscor has built, but to reaffirm the size of the opportunity ahead as we work to scale grassroots sport through technology.
Being invited by Enterprise Ireland was a huge honour, and Web Summit has left the Anyscor team even more motivated as we progress with our 2025 funding round and expand across Ireland, the UK, and beyond.
